How do I cancel my membership and close my account at TechTown? How do I serve notice for my private office?
Before We Begin
At TechTown, we are committed to the growth of both you and your company and are willing to work with you to find a better membership plan or space offering to meet your needs. We have several membership options to choose from, and we offer you the ability to downgrade based on your needs and your contract.
If you are dissatisfied with your membership, or it no longer meets your needs, please reach out to us by using our chat feature, emailing
coworking@techtowndetroit.org, or by giving us a call at (313) 879-5250. We'll gladly work with you to improve your experience or find a better option to grow your organization. Your growth and connection to our community is incredibly important to us, and we wouldn't want to let you go if there is something we can do to make TechTown a better fit for your needs.
Cancelling a Membership
Membership cancelation depends entirely upon the contract you have signed with us and the membership type you presently hold with us. We recommend you look at your existing contract and the membership-specific terms on file. If you contact
coworking@techtowndetroit.org, we can send you a copy of your last signed contract. You can also see your Membership Terms & Conditions on the Member Portal
by using this link.
Step 1: Once you review contractual terms, you can begin the cancelation process by navigating to the Billing module and selecting the Membership tab. (See the image below, with menu options highlighted in green).
Step 2: Find the membership from the membership list below and click on the "Request Cancelation" to the right of the membership.
Step 3: A dialogue will appear to confirm your choice, which will notify us of your decision to cancel. We'll then contact you with your specific next steps to close your account.
Serving Notice for a Private Office
Lease termination depends entirely upon the contract you have signed with us and the private office type you presently hold with us. We recommend you take a look at your existing contract and your membership-specific terms on file. If you contact
coworking@techtowndetroit.org, we can send you a copy of your last signed contract. You can also see your membership Terms & Conditions on the Member Portal
by using this link.
Private Offices can only be canceled by the means agreed to in your contract. You may be under a legal obligation to serve notice by email, traditional mail, or both. Please review the termination clause in your contract and contact us accordingly. If you have questions about your termination clause, feel free to contact us by email.
