Upgrading or Changing Your Membership

How do I upgrade my membership and close my account at TechTown? How do I change my membership to a different membership?

Before We Begin

We are so glad to hear you are interested in upgrading or transitioning your membership to fit the needs of your business We are committed to the growth of both you and your company and always want to work with you to find the best membership plan or space offering to meet your needs. We have several membership options to choose from, and we offer you the ability to upgrade based on your needs and your contract.

Upgrading a Membership

Upgrading or transitioning your membership depends entirely upon the contract you have signed with us and the membership type you presently hold with us. We recommend you review your existing contract and the membership-specific terms on file. If you contact coworking@techtowndetroit.org, we can send you a copy of your last signed contract. You can also see your Membership Terms & Conditions on the Member Portal by using this link

Step 1: Choose a Membership: Once you review your present contractual terms, please get in touch with our Membership Manager (Erica Overstreet) to review what options or spaces we have available to meet your needs. You can reach her by emailing erica@techtowndetroit.org, and she will help you find the right membership option to help your business flourish.

Step 2: Sign Your Contract: Once you choose your membership with Erica, you'll receive a contract from our Member platform to review and sign. Most upgraded contracts replace the Terms, Entitlements, Terms, & Conditions of the existing contract.

Step 3: Complete any additional onboarding processes: If you are upgrading to a membership with first floor or space access, you may need to set up door access with your cell phone and gain access to our member's only resources: Erica and the Ambassador team (who can be reached by receptionist@techtowndetroit.org) will gladly guide you through the process.

Step 4: Update Your Membership Portal: Now that you have transitioned to your membership, it is a good idea to check your payment details and ensure all your account settings are up to date. To learn more about how to do this, check out this article.
