Additional Information to Note

Part of this transition will also involve new policies that TechTown is implementing immediately regarding the number of complimentary copies members can print. You can always print more than your allotted balance, but there will be associated charges for additional pages printed. Read more to see what your membership includes for complimentary printing:

Mailbox Memberships

Mailbox members will no longer be able to print, if you are interested in regularly printing at TechTown, we would encourage you to https://techtowndetroit.org/flexible-workspaces/ look at our other membership offerings to find one that is right for you.

Shared Desk Memberships, Dedicated Desk Memberships, Private Offices, and Labs.

All members that belong to one of these memberships will receive a balance of 125 black-and-white copies, and 25 color copies per month. These balances are use-or-lose and are shared across your organization. If you have multiple of these memberships at TechTown within your organization, you will receive this balance for each membership you pay for, and the balance will be pooled for all employees to use.

It should be noted that 'Additional Coworker' memberships will not count in this balance. Only primary memberships (like those listed above) increase the complimentary copy allowance.

Overage Costs

Members can, at any time, print beyond their allowance, but there will be and additional cost assessed:

  Color Type Cost Per Impression
Black & White Copy $0.05 per impression
  Color Copy $0.15  per impression

What is an impression? Impressions are defined as a single, front-sided printed page. This means that a double-sided print would still count as two impressions.

Warning
Are you located at a copy machine that has run out of toner or paper? DO NOT try to install toner cartridges or paper by yourself. Please contact the front desk. If we are not available, please try another floor for printing (Floors 1, 3, and 5).
