Wellness Room Booking Instructions

How do I book the Wellness Room? Does TechTown have a Nursing Room? Does TechTown have a place to meditate or pray?

TechTown offers its members a free-to-use space for personal wellness and meditation. The room is located on our 5th floor as you get off the elevator. It will be on the right side, directly past the door to the stairwell, in a locked room titled “Wellness Room.” It is available for all members and guests. This room includes features such as:
  1. Massage chair
  2. Soft lighting
  3. Yoga Mat
  4. Space for prayer and meditation
  5. Air purifier
  6. Sound Machine
To reserve the space stop at the front desk, e-mail receptionist@techtowndetroit.org, or call the front desk ahead of time to schedule your time. The room can be booked in increments of 30 minutes up to a maximum of 1 hour.  You will be asked for your name and phone number to book the room, and a Community Ambassador will provide you with the key for the space. This space is not reserved online like other rooms in our building.  This is an entirely free amenity that we offer for the wellbeing of our members.

If you are a new or expecting mother and need a place to store your breast milk, please ask the front desk for more information on how we can help!

A very important aspect of using the Wellness Room is being mindful of your end time of the booking and returning the key to the front desk on time.  We wish to provide this free amenity to our community and if this particular policy is not respected it affects everyone that has scheduled time for that day.  If you do not return the key on time, please note that you will be charged a $5.00 fee for the inconvenience.
